Consortium renewals maintain drug testing service consistency

Wisconsin Drug Testing consortium renewalsRandom test selection notifications ensure you stay in compliance

The consortium renewals period that takes place this time of year satisfies an important organizational step in simplifying your DOT drug and alcohol testing programs. Wisconsin Drug Testing Consortium (WDTC) has managed testing programs and kept its customers up to date on evolving federal requirements for more than 15 years.

Consortium renewals are a necessary administrative process that generates your certificate of enrollment for the coming calendar year. It is important to have easy access to your certificate because DOT inspectors will request to see it during a visit to your office.

WDTC sends out consortium renewals to existing customers in late October and early November. These notices include an explanation of our simplified fee schedule, ensuring you and your staff have a thorough understanding of all charges and service offerings.

Some of these services include keeping you updated on DOT Clearinghouse queries, pre-employment drug tests, random drug and alcohol testing, background check requirements, and other DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.

Consortium renewals allow WDTC to assist with employer functions

If you are not familiar with a consortium such as WDTC, our job is to manage all or part of your DOT-mandated drug and alcohol testing program, including the maintenance of required testing records. We can perform a variety of employer functions for owner-operators and employers with a single driver in regards to DOT testing and understanding DOT drug testing cutoff levels.

Employers and owner-operators who participate in a consortium are able to remove guesswork from DOT random drug testing thanks to participation in the larger group size and the expertise of a certified third-party administrator (C-TPA) such as WDTC. We are also Nationally Accredited for Administration of Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs (NAADATP) by the Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA).

In addition to the relative ease of fulfilling random drug testing requirements through a consortium model, consortium renewals with WDTC come with continued access to a nationwide network of 17,000 drug testing centers. This means your drivers usually will be within a short distance of a drug testing location without significant off-route detours.
