The converting industry depends on high-quality heat transfer rolls from MECA Solutions to maintain process quality at all speeds. MECA Solutions is a premier manufacturer of heat transfer and coater rolls that focus on design and maximizing the return on your investment.

“Our engineering and production teams have extensive experience developing and manufacturing heat transfer rolls and coater rolls to meet our customers’ every requirement,” says Tom Kawula, roll manufacturing manager. “This knowledge is one of the primary reasons our customers look to us as a custom roll manufacturer.”

Heat Transfer Rolls Are Involved in a Variety of Processes

A wide range of processes within the converting industry require the use of heat transfer rolls, including embossing, calendaring, laminating, drying, cooling, annealing and film orientation. Heat transfer rolls can be supplied with virtually any surface finish or diameter to meet the needs of the application.

Heat transfer rolls use fluid, most commonly oil or a water-glycol combination, pumped through the roll internals, to transfer energy to or from the web. It is common for heating or cooling operations to feature a series of heat-transfer rolls to bring the temperature of the web to a desired level.

“MECA’s capabilities as a precision machining manufacturer enable us to attain exceptionally tight tolerances for high-quality converting output,” Kawula says. “Our customers know they can depend on our heat transfer rolls for predictable performance that is crucial to their operations.”
