The challenge: Creating a custom challenge coin worthy of the donor group

Medalcraft Mint custom challenge coin Bliss SocietySteamboat Creates, the non-profit organization at the heart of the Steamboat Springs (Colorado) Creative District, wanted something tangible to accompany the membership drive associated with updating its strategic plan. The organization engaged Medalcraft Mint Inc. to create a custom challenge coin that would be appropriate for members of its Bliss Society, named in memory of its founder, Eleanor Bliss.

Membership in this legacy society requires a donation of $1,972, which signifies the year of the organization’s founding. Members receive the attractive 1.75-inch brass custom challenge coin with antique finish created by Medalcraft Mint, along with invitations to several special events throughout the year.

Medalcraft Mint’s in-house design team created four art proofs in securing customer satisfaction, and delivered the resulting 100-coin production run on time and on budget.

“Thank you so much for the amazing commemorative Bliss Society coin,” wrote Dagny McKinley, Steamboat Creates’s development director. “Sami (LaCourt) was fantastic to work with. We had a number of edits to our design, which she adjusted quickly and exactly to our specifications. The coin itself is everything we imagined it would be. We couldn’t be happier.”
