What a busy year it turned out to be! There are tons of places to stay in Door County and we are honored that you chose to stay at Ephraim Shores Resort. Our guests have kept us busy from the spring buds through the summer sunshine to the changing autumn leaves. As a family-owned business, we appreciate your support not only to us, but to our greater Door County community.
We want to thank you for your patience as we navigated the national labor shortage. We appreciate our staff for their hard work. They worked long hours to make Ephraim Shores one of the best places to stay in Door County. We hope they get some well-deserved down time during our off season.
There are still things to do and places to stay in Door County this winter
Ephraim Shores is closed for the season starting in November. We often get the question “What’s it like in the winter here?” Although some believe all of Ephraim and Door County shut down, Door County is still active.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic Door County vacation, a family weekend away or a day trip during these colder months we happily recommend a few other places to stay in Door County. Some fellow Ephraim neighbors are open all year. If looking for overnight accommodations this winter, try Highpoint Inn, Edgwater Resort or Waterbury Inn.
Holiday events are plentiful. Christmas by the Bay is November 19-21 and Holly Days is November 26-27. Or consider heading to the first ever Door County Christkindlmarkt (Christmas Market) which begins November 26-28. Winter is also a great time to experience the quiet side and beauty of Door County.
