Metal machining helps fabrication projects come to life

Titletown Manufacturing metal machiningExperience, equipment give Titletown Manufacturing an advantage

Excellence in metal machining requires a combination of equipment capabilities and skill level of the shop’s machinists. Titletown Manufacturing is fortunate to have both assets in good supply in support of our commitment to produce high-quality orders for our customers.

Significant investments in equipment and software over the past few years has enhanced our ability to provide metal machining services for a wide range of products. Chief among those investments are a CNC boring bar, a horizontal milling machine, and a 5-axis vertical milling machine that enables us to machine large parts on its 80-inch x-axis and 27.5-inch y-axis. This unit performs multi-axis CNC metal machining within an impressive .0001 tolerance.

Parallel investments in Mastercam and MazaCAM programming software have helped us integrate all of our CNC assets for incredibly accurate metal machining. This combination of equipment and software lets us machine parts as small as one-quarter inch to 19 inches in diameter, and one-half inch to 80 inches in length.

Metal machining of stainless steel relies on correct tooling and welding

Machining stainless steel requires a higher level of expertise and specialized equipment than most other materials. Titletown Manufacturing has the appropriate tooling in stock for this type of metal machining, and our team is fluent in the practices specific to machining stainless steel.

The specialized tooling needed for stainless steel enhances our efficiency because we can run material feeds and machining speeds at much faster rates. The experience of our team is another major advantage for our customers. Having the correct equipment is of limited value without the machinists’ knowledge for high-level operations.

Glass blasting and welding ground flush to surfaces eliminates the crevices in which bacteria can live on food-grade stainless steel. Our team’s ability to make these surfaces smooth and free from imperfections is a valuable and necessary skill for our stainless steel customers.
