Cycling enthusiasts will pass through the Ephraim area on the 100-mile Century loop of the Door County Century Bike Ride this Sunday, September 7. The ride begins and ends at the Door County Fairgrounds in Sturgeon Bay, and features routes of 28, 50, 70 and 100 miles. For information and registration, go to

Peninsula Century Ride – Sister Bay

If you’re looking for a ride option that begins and ends a little closer to Ephraim Shores, you’ll want to participate in the Peninsula Century Ride. Beginning at Waterfront Park in nearby Sister Bay, you’ll see Northern Door County on routes of 25, 50, 62 (100K) and 100 miles. 25th Annual Sturgeon Bay Harvest Festival and Street Art Auction

This citywide celebration September 20-22 features an arts and crafts show, car show, food, entertainment and children’s activities. You’ll want to stick around for the auction of street art at the conclusion of the festival, followed by the Harvest Moon Celebration with dancing and music on the street under the big top. PumpKinmania Festival – Sturgeon Bay

This new event will take place Saturday, September 27, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Lodge at Leathem Smith in Sturgeon Bay. This family-friendly event will draw competitive pumpkin growers with pumpkins weighing more than 1,000 pounds vying for cash prizes.
