It is Easy to Earn Interest with Nicolet’s Real Rewards Checking

Checking accounts traditionally have been used as non-interest earning vehicles from which bills are paid and automatic deposits replenish. Nicolet National Bank sees no reason why these accounts should not earn interest the same as savings accounts and other related products.

Nicolet Bank’s Real Rewards Checking is a popular variable rate account in which balances can qualify for 3.00% Annual Percentage Yield, with interest compounded monthly. (APY is subject to change at any time.) Real Rewards Checking serves as an integral part of an account holder’s financial portfolio in combination with home loans and other retail banking products offered by Nicolet Bank.

“Real Rewards Checking is intended to be the primary checking account in which payroll transactions and day-to-day spending activities occur,” explains Tom Zellner, senior vice president, retail/private banking manager at Nicolet Bank.

Qualifying Requirements for Real Rewards Checking Interest

Qualifying to receive Real Rewards Checking interest payments is very simple. In addition to enrolling in e-statements and online banking, the account must receive at least one posted and cleared direct deposit of payroll or Social Security and at least 10 posted and cleared debit card transactions (other than ATM transactions) per month.

The tiered interest rate schedule begins with balances up to $15,000, with an additional 0.10% APY applied to balances over $15,000 if qualifications are met each cycle. All balances receive 0.02% APY if qualifications are not met during the qualification cycle.

“Real Rewards Checking is our way of saying we value your everyday business, not just your larger banking needs,” Zellner says. “It is practically like getting free money, because this is an account most people use in the course of daily living.”

Real Rewards Checking is available for consumer deposits only. There is a limit of one Real Cash Back or Real Rewards checking account and one Rewards saver account per consumer.
