As technology in the web converting industry continues to evolve, printers know they need a reliable source of precision components to maintain quality and market share. MECA Solutions, a premier manufacturer of variable speed offset printing (VSOP) OEM sleeve replacements, has filled a niche in the VSOP segment that contributes directly to its customers’ bottom lines.
MECA’s OEM customers require a higher level of supplier when it comes to their VSOP OEM sleeve replacements. These products typically feature non-standard sizes that must perform at superior levels. MECA, which recently completed the ISO certification process to the 9001:2015 standard, regularly invests in processes and technology designed to deliver consistent results.
“Our VSOP OEM sleeve replacements are designed to perform as well or better than the originals,” says Tim Olson, sales manager at MECA. “Our commitment to customer satisfaction and improved processes results in exceptional product quality order after order.”
VSOP OEM Sleeve Replacements in a Variety of Sizes
MECA designs and produces VSOP OEM sleeve replacements for paper, board, film and other substrates in any repeat range with lengths ranging from 12 inches to 80 inches. MECA uses lightweight carbon fiber in its manufacturing process for its advantages in maintaining dimensional stability through changes in heat, humidity and pressure.
The substrate never comes in direct contact with the plate in the offset printing process and the image is offset onto the blanket sleeve. This allows for longer runs without interruptions by eliminating downtime required to replace the plate.
“We introduced VSOP OEM sleeve replacements to our product mix in 2009 because of demand within the web converting industry,” Olson explains. “Since then, our ability to produce high-quality sleeves every time has made us the go-to source for these products.”
