Focus on Safety Complements Aluminum Fabrication Capabilities
Badger Sheet Metal Works’ continuous focus on worker safety includes on-site classes conducted by Fox Valley Safety Training Inc. Training topics are designed to meet or exceed OSHA requirements and cover subjects ranging from fire prevention to forklift operation.
January and February training topics included confined space permit-required and non-entry rescue; forklift safety; lockout/tagout (LOTO); and hazard communication with GHS labeling.
“Everyone on our team is certified to drive a forklift, regardless of what their primary job duties are,” says Tommy Kraszewski, shop foreman. “We also train heavily in rigging, overhead crane operation and other handling skills to minimize the risk of damaging aluminum fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing projects.”
